Volunteering
The UN
In 2024, I was selected to represent young aerospace entrepreneurs at the United Nations World Space Forum in Bonn. I contributed to discussions on space legislation and sustainability, bringing the perspective of European startups to international policy conversations. The experience reinforced how critical it is for engineers and entrepreneurs to engage with the regulatory and ethical frameworks shaping our industry.
Bits and Pretzles
I love volunteering at different events all over Europe. One of the biggest and most prestigious is Bits & Pretzels, a startup-focused convention in Munich that brings together thousands of founders, investors and innovators. I have been part of the volunteer team for several years, contributing to logistics, team coordination and operations. It's rewarding work: helping create the infrastructure that allows meaningful connections to happen, while being surrounded by people building the future.

The Elite network Bavaria
Having been accepted into the Elite Network for my master's studies, I now serve as alumni event director, helping organize events for the network in my city. I gather members from the region to network and experience talks from the best and brightest in the local area. My aim is to inspire a culture of debate, discussion and open-minded thinking, where differing opinions are not scorned but openly discussed and debated.
Security services
In my volunteering work, a niche has emerged alongside management: security. I have been contributing to security and more recently security management for large events for over 5 years. I am now security officer for an event with over 8,000 participants and lead security manager for an event peaking at 1,200 participants.

Aircraft refurbishment
While training as a glider pilot, I was given the opportunity to help in the repair, refurbishment and even building of small aircraft ranging from gliders to two-seater tow planes. This was a lot of fun, working alongside friends while getting hands-on experience with every system and aspect of an aircraft.
SearchWing
Through my work developing autonomous UAVs, I was invited to join the SearchWing drone development team. SearchWing is a humanitarian organization conducting search and rescue operations in the Mediterranean, and their drones play a critical role in locating people in distress at sea. I contribute engineering expertise to the development and optimization of their UAV systems, working alongside a dedicated team of engineers and developers. It's some of the most meaningful work I do: applying technical skills to directly save lives.
